Events and Workshops
Our joy with being involved in Creating Hope is working with patients in small groups and one on one, either at a table or at bedside.
On Site Program Offerings for Cancer Patients...
Creating Hope is on site at Indiana University Simon Cancer Center every Tuesday and Thursday, with typical hours from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
A table is set in the pavilion where patients can stop by to paint with us and then take their Hope Kit with them to continue their creative expressions.
We also do bedside visits, working one-on-one with patients at their own pace.
If you are interested in attending a bookmark-painting workshop, let us know.
If you are interested in starting a program of Creating Hope’s “Art as Healing” at your center or organization, please contact us. All levels of caregiver and patient support can be accommodated with our flexible programs.
Each quarter, John and Tina of Creating Hope, assist at the Cancer Mosaic Collaborative Workshop, sponsored by the CompleteLife Program at IUCC. This involves coordinating the effort of many groups to create one large piece of art.
Host an Art Workshop...
Additional workshops are scheduled around central Indiana as requested by groups and organizations. If you have a group of people who would like to have us provide a special program, please contact us to learn more.
Workshops can be an hour, a half a day, or an entire day—whatever fits your need.
